Rooting Micromax Canvas Doodle A111 and Installing TWRP on it.

Hi guys this Shubham aka ThunderBolt. Micromax is among the largest smartphone manufactures in India. Several years ago it launched it's very popular series Canvas Doodle which has now 4 different models. The first phone of this series was Canvas Doodle which has 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and 1 GB RAM and a 5.2 inch 540p screen. Normally the phones starts to hang after months of usage and the only way to fix it is to root it and install apps like seeder, greenify, device control etc. to increase it's performance. Other than that you can also hack games, install custom ROMs and do several other things. Well today guys, I will be showing you how to root Micromax Canvas Doodle A111 and install custom recovery TWRP on it.


Now to root and install custom recovery on your Doodle you need the following things:

• MFastboot Package on your PC.From here.
• Internet Connection on PC for auto driver downloads.
• USB Cable
• TWRP package.From here.

After getting all these things, just follow the following steps:

Power of your your Doodle.

Now press the power button and volume down button simultaneously.

Due to this a Canvas logo should appear, this means that you're in fastboot mode.

Now connect your Doodle to your PC using the USB cable and open the folder where the mfastboot files are placed and right click here while pressing shift button.

Then select 'Open Command Window Here' and a command prompt window should appear.

Here type: mfastboot.exe devices

If this shows a device build id (a code) then you're good to go, and if it doesn't then restart your computer or reinstall your USB drivers to retry. If it is showing the build id only then continue or else please fix it.

Then type: mfastboot.exe oem  unlock 

This will unlock your bootloader so that you can install custom recovery on it.

Then move the TWRP package in the mfastboot folder and rename it to a(i.e. a.img).

After that open command prompt window and type: mfastboot.exe flash recovery a.img

This will install custom recovery on your Doodle.

Then type: mfastboot.exe reboot

Now your Doodle will reboot.

Now again power it off and press power button and the volume up button simultaneously to reboot into recovery.

Now tap on reboot>system and then swipe to install SuperSU application on your Doodle which will root it.

Then the Doodle will reboot, turn your network on and head supersu installer app and select TWRP and after downloading and reboot you're good to go.
